Apache Wedding Blessing

This gentle setting of an Apache prayer was written for Rachel Low and Dom Pioli on the occasion of their marriage at Holt Trinity Church, Horsham on Saturday, 24 July 2004. It features a mellow melody line for soprano and mezzo-soprano soli over a slow moving choral wash. The whole choir then joins in the exhortation to “Go now to your dwelling place, To enter into the days of your togetherness.” before the opening material returns for the final blessing “And may your days be good and long upon the earth.”
