This setting of the well-known 13th century Eucharistic chant was composed in the summer of 2014. It was first performed by Exultate Singers, conducted by David Ogden, at the Sung Eucharist in Durham Cathedral on Sunday 27 July 2014.
It includes a couple of small musical references to the well-known setting by William Byrd – one is, I think, fairly easy to spot and hear; the other a bit more subtle.
