Dormi Jesu

This lyrical setting of the well-known Latin Christmas lullaby was written in 2009 for David Ogden and the City of Bristol Choir, who recorded it on their first CD, Realms of Glory, in 2013. It is scored for SATB choir and piano.
The music features a gentle melody line in 3-time which is presented in three different scorings: soprano and alto duet, unison tenors and basses and finally SATB choir a cappella singing the first verse in the English translation by Samuel Coleridge (1772–1834).
