Fanfare

My only composition for organ, this fanfare was written in early 2011 for an organ recital given by Richard Johnson at Holy Trinity Church, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol.
The open section contains relentless upwards flourishes based upon various polychords. These then subside and lead into a broad central march theme, somewhat Walton-like in style. The opening music then returns briefly for a dramatic finish.
