Mass of St Cuthbert and St Chad

This vibrant setting of the mass was written for Elizabeth Collis and Mark Roberts on the occasion of their marriage at St Cuthbert’ s Roman Catholic Church, Durham on Saturday, 2 September 2000. Most of the movements feature constantly moving organ figuration beneath longer, smoother vocal lines. The music also interpolates elements of the couple’s favourite popular song, particular in the Kyrie and the Agnus – no-one has yet pointed it out to me!
