This new tune and arrangement for the famous Christmas hymn by Phillips Brooks (1835–1893) was written in 2018 and features four different treatments for each verse: unison sopranos, tenor and bass duet, SATB a cappella and the final verse full choir with an alto descant of the well-known tune Forest Green, adapted by Ralph Vaughan Williams from an English folk ballad.
