Stained Glass Window Carol
03:20 duration|Composed in 2006|Difficulty: Moderately easy
This carol from 2006 for unison voices and piano with optional solo instrument was my second setting of a poem given to me by Margaret Nixon (d. 2014). It relates the Christmas story to the colours and images we see in a stained glass window. The music is cast in a pop-like style with instrumental interludes between each of the four verses and an optional staggered descant in verses three and four.
